With Lydia & Andrew

We met Lydia & Andrew whilst both exhibiting at Dumbleton Hall‘s Wedding Fair by Aspire Events. Lydia is a florist at Floral Roundabout in Worcester.

We absolutely loved their enthusiasm for weddings and their stall was stunning. They mentioned that they were looking for a photographer to do a ‘Wreck the Dress’ photo shoot, but couldn’t seem to find someone who ‘gets it.’ We were super excited by the idea. They mentioned the idea of Holi Powder, used at a Hindu festival. We also discussed the potential use of smoke grenades, used during paintballing sessions. We were promptly booked.

We decided to contact a neighbour and see if they would be okay with use doing the shoot on their land at Shrewley Pools Farm, as we were aware that it could get messy. They were just as excited as we were.

Lydia explained to us that she wasn’t really sentimental about her wedding dress. Andrew was actually the one that didn’t want to wear his wedding outfit for the photo shoot. Lydia explained that ‘you only need the dress for one day.’ We loved her thoughts! Lydia just wanted to have a memorable experience in her dress and a good laugh.. Or maybe she just wanted to get Andrew back for something? You will see what we mean when you look through the images.

We started off with a standard couple shoot, just so they had some lovely images in their outfits before they got ruined.. Then it was time to ‘wreck the dress.’

It definitely is great fun doing a shoot like this, we highly recommend it. We had so much fun ourselves and couldn’t stop smiling when editing the pictures.
