CAMBRIDGE PROPOSAL PHOTO SHOOT
A proposal photo shoot in Cambridge, this is what has brought us here today – after many moons! Blogging has been a long long time coming. Since having our son, it’s just been put on the back-burner, whist we focus on simply doing the best for our couples and family time too. We are hoping to be back on here regularly now. We have so much content that we cannot wait to share, we just haven’t been able to decide where to start. This particular occasion just felt like the perfect fit.
The Details
We were absolutely honoured to be a part of this special proposal photo shoot in Cambridge. When Brendan reached out to us, we felt so excited and nervous, wanting to make sure everything was perfect. Brendan mentioned how he had booked a tour with Let’s Go Punting and wanted the moment captured. Brendan + Delaney are from America and were planning a special getaway. We would chat to Brendan whilst he was on work trips – we were praying Delaney wouldn’t find out from communication.
Engaged in Cambridge
Cambridge is such a beautiful city, filled with history and incredible architecture. It is known for it’s prestigious university and picturesque landscapes. It is such a romantic location for a proposal and a photo shoot. Having a world reknowned punting boat trip along the River Cam, to take in the settings from a different angle, was simply
perfection.
A Special Surprise
In speaking to Let’s Go Punting, between us all we managed to liase in order to make the moment happen. Let’s Go Punting are well versed with making a proposal special, and were fantastic in helping Brendan make the moment special. They also assisted us greatly with being able to capture the moment.
What made the occasion even more special is that Brendan arranged for Delaney’s sister to be there too. Simon and Kaylie went on a boat ahead and as Delaney would not know Simon, just before the moment happened, Simon told Kaylie to hide. Brendan got down on one knee, as the punting boats stopped alongside King’s College. It was wonderful watching the passers by congratulating them, once Delaney said yes.
Proposal Photo Shoot, Cambridge
After the boat trip, Delaney and Brendan walked hand in hand along the winding cobbled streets, around the old buildings. Simply taking in the perfect architecture, which set the scene for their couple shoot.
It really was a beautiful day and we are truly over the moon for Delaney and Brendan.
Every moment from our engagement day was absolutely beautiful. Brendan, my now fiancée, had booked a private punting boat tour, which chauffeured us throughout the river as we took in Cambridge’s magnificent architecture and amazing history.
As we neared Kings College, Brendan got down on one knee and proposed. Little did I know, our amazing photographer Simon, who Brendan had been corresponding with in the prior month leading up to this special day, was hiding out in another punting boat and snapping photos throughout the proposal.
After our punting tour was over, Simon spent the next hour photographing us, in a special engagement shoot as we wandered throughout the old streets of Cambridge.
From start to finish, our engagement was the most magical experience. Brendan truly went above and beyond with every little detail, to curate such a surreal moment. Having Simon there to capture our real and raw emotions was what made that moment all the more memorable.
