The final celebration of Tejpal and Chirag’s love, their wedding day at The Lakeside Suite in Leicester. A beautiful rural location, a great setting for a party!

Tejpal and Chirag started their wedding day preparations at their parents homes. When a bride and groom are local to each other for their preparations, Simon will photograph the groom whilst Sonia will spend the morning with the bride.

Helping Tejpal and the lovely ladies to get ready was Leah Marie Hair & Co and Stephanie Hedley on make-up duty. The beautiful flowers for the day were created by Flowercraft.

During the mehndi celebration two days before the wedding day, Tejpal had henna done by Fatima Hafejee and her nails were done by More Beauty.

We then all made our way just outside of Leicester city to The Lakeside Suite for the registry and wedding reception. On arrival Tejpal and Chirag’s families exchanged a few traditions of gifts between different members of the family. Tejpal and Chirag went ahead with formalities with the registrars.

Tejpal and her family are Sikh, Chirag’s family are Hindu. It seems to be quite a rare occurrence to mix the two religions in marriage. We were honoured to be part of a mix of traditions and family values. With us being from different ethnic backgrounds, we really enjoy watching a couple come together, blending different aspects of their heritage.

The wedding day had some really fun moments. One memorable moment was when Chirag said ‘I do’ too early, showing how super keen he was to marry Tejpal!

As the weather often is in England, it was raining in the morning, however the sun soon showed up for a beautiful sunset whilst we were photographing Tejpal and Chirag for their newlywed couple shoot. They also had a beautiful firework display by Britannia Fireworks, once the sun had set, with sparklers for the guests to play with. Catering was organised by Mahirs Experience.

Another highlight that must be mentioned was the amazing performance by the Lions of Punjab! A great end to a beautiful wedding!
