Coventry & Warwickshire Wedding with Alice & Luke

We met Alice & Luke at The National Wedding Show, back in February 2015. We felt truly honoured that out of all of the wedding photographers at the event, they chose us. When we found out that they were having their ceremony at their local church, we were super excited. It means that they are sentimental, which is what we truly get excited about.

On the wedding morning, Sonia joined Alice and the bridal party at Alice’s parent’s home in Coventry. Simon went over to Alice and Luke’s house to see what the boys were getting up to. Then it was time to head to St James’ Church in Styvechale for the heart warming ceremony.

The wedding breakfast and reception was then to be at Warwick House in Southam, Warwickshire. A charming wedding venue with outstanding staff. Waiting for the guests on arrival was a vintage ice-cream tricycle, hosted by Morton’s Vintage Hire. This was such a unique touch and the guests absolutely loved it.

Alice had a really unique idea for their ‘guest book.’ As Alice loves Christmas, they decided to have loved ones write on Christmas bauballs so that every year they can bring some out at random and enjoy them on their Christmas tree.

During the wedding breakfast, Alice and Luke decided to get all the guests involved in a quiz, with the chance to win free drinks. This was a good fun and a great idea to entertain guests in between courses.

It was then time for the evening reception. Lots of dancing, including some Italian classics, as Alice’s mother is Italian. Alice’s dad in particular was on the dance floor all night, with the best dance moves! We managed to get everyone outside once it was dark for some fun sparkler shots.

Once the bridesmaids and grooms men had a bit to drink, they decided that they wanted to write a message to Alice and Luke through a photographic method that involves ‘painting with light.’ This is great fun and is done by opening the camera shutter for a long period of time and writing words with the sparklers. You don’t see the outcome of what is being written properly until the shutter has closed.

The night ended on a high, with lots of laughter and happy tears. We had an awesome time and great fun with everyone. Such a perfect day for a beautiful couple.
