A Yorkshire Islamic Wedding
As we have explained in previous blog posts, occasionally we will have a couple that require a segregated wedding, where men are in one room and women are in another, this Yorkshire Islamic wedding is a perfect example of that.
This service is usually required for Muslim couples, when the bride wears a hijab (hair covering) but wishes to take it off for her wedding day.
On this occasion we ventured up North to Crossley House in Halifax, Yorkshire. A stately home with a rural feel once you enter the gates, which is lovely as you do not feel that you are close to Halifax City Centre.
The bride wished to have a vintage feel to the wedding day, with an Asian twist. The decor had a vintage country feel to it, which worked perfectly with the venue’s exterior design. The bride and groom wore traditional Asian attire, with the bride wearing a hooded cape so no one could see her entering the venue.
A day of tradition embellished with vintage quirks that made our job a real joy and it was a pleasure to be able to share their special day. Where ever our eyes or the camera lens focused we were met with such wonderful smiles, bright colours and stunning architecture at their picturesque wedding venue.
We won’t be forgetting this memorable Yorkshire Islamic Wedding for a long time.
As always we wish the couple a lifetime of happiness.
